Spacious family room, but from another era. Bedding not very comfortable. The first room provided was unsatisfactory: connecting door to another room that wouldn't lock despite the intervention of technical services, unusable safe, blocked sink. The staff were friendly and eventually moved us to another room. Good quality breakfast with plenty of choice. All in all, an impression of a maximum 3-star hotel, for a price approaching 5 stars.

Lovely park out the back. Weather never truly cleared up to fully utilise it, but it was a good site! Quite secluded from everything else but only allowed more exploration. Room was quite tame but we went with the cheaper option. Noisy neighbors but not the hotel's fault

Walking from the bus up to the property i was a bit surprised and concerned as externally it looks drab, old and dirty - its very in need of a good pressure clean on the outside areas. BUT, don't judge a book by its cover; walking into the bright clean spacious lobby, any worries i had slipped away. Checkin was quick and easy. We had a large Delux family room for 6nights, which was spacious and overall very good. Clean, quite and the ladies who cleaned the rooms did a fantastic job. The breakfast buffet was really great with so much variety. We also ate in the Bar Restaurant most nights as it was well priced and convenient after a long day of sightseeing. Location was really fantastic and it didnt take long to get used to the efficient public transport system. I thought we would walk to/from the tube stops but we ended up using the buses more as they were frequent and easy to use, with a stop right at the hotel (we bought 7day travel cards and saved so much using these). The only negative was that the tap in the bathroom was really stiff to turn on/off and the lever at the back of the tap to open/close the sink plug did not work which as annoying - we asked for it to be looked at but it wasnt fixed. Rooms were warm so we ended un leaving our window open, which was fine. Overall a great stay.

Only stayed one night for a conference. Didn't use any facilities. Thus, limited comment. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. But it was odd that there's no sockets at the bedside.
